General Conference Information

The working language of the Conference is English.

International visitors requiring French or Schengen visa should apply in time and ask the ICFRM secretariat for visa support letter if needed.

Nice

 

Nice is well known as “Capital of the French Riviera”, Fifth largest city of France, covering 7,192 hectares with a population around 350,000 and an additional 1.5 million residents of nearby towns: the “Alpes Maritimes".

More than 7.5 km of beaches, 300 hectares of parks and gardens, 150 fountains and ornamental lakes, 19 museums and galleries, an opera house, three theatres, 27,000 firms, Sophia-Antipolis, universities…

The weather is nice…. Sheltered by the Alps and on the Mediterranean sea, Nice enjoys mild winters and temperate summers.

Nice has a total of 19 museums and galleries, 32 classified historical monuments and 300 ha of parks and gardens, woodland and green areas in addition to 150 ornamental lakes and fountains.

You will see the famous "Promenade" before entering into the heart of the city with its rich architectural and cultural heritage and its parks and gardens.

Acropolis Congress Centre

 

The Acropolis Congress Centre is in the city centre (7km far from the airport). Acropolis is a high-tech modular entity offering 30 000 m2 of divisible space, 4 auditoria seating 250 to 2500 persons.The ICFRM-13 will use 2 auditoriums, several rooms for satellite meetings and a large (2500 m˛) area for comfortable poster sessions and exhibitions. The Acropolis has full competence for assessment of set-up and management of technical needs of exhibitors.

Hotels, restaurants

 

A large number of various category hotels is available in Nice (157 hotels). Twelve are located at less than 5 min (walking distance) from the Congress Centre and 50 at less than 15 min. Twenty-five restaurants are available at less than 5 min (walking distance) from the Congress Centre (100 at less than 15 min).
