1st International Conference on Negative Ions, Beams and Sources

(9)10-12 September 2008, Aix-en-Provence, France

The 1st International Conference on Negative Ions, Beams and Sources-(NBIS-2008), previously named the "Symposium on the Production and Neutralization of Negative Ion Beams", (PNNIB), will be held in the Aquabella Hotel, downtown in Aix-en-Provence, located in the south of France, from the 10th until the 12th of September 2008. The conference will be organized by the Association Euratom/CEA Cadarache.

The aim of the conference is to provide a discussion forum covering all areas of negative ions sources and beams . The following main topics are included:

 1. Fundamental processes and modelling
 2. H- and D- Sources for Fusion, accelerators and other applications
 3. Other negative ion sources
 4. Beam Formation and low energy Transport 
 5. Beam acceleration and neutralization
 6. Applications

May 22: programme changes:

Cadarache and ITER site tour on Tuesday afternoon, 9th of September.
Two sessions added: one oral (Friday afternoon) and one poster (Thursday afternoon).

April 30: programme changes: conference dinner Thursday night at sea side!

Sept. 10, 2008: Deadline for paper.
For an effective reviewing, we would appreciate if you could submit your paper (as well as the Transfer of Copright Agreement) by e-mail as soon as possible.
Aug. 25, 2008: Deadline for Cadarache visit registration
June 30, 2008: Late registration
May 15, 2008: Notification of acceptance
March 30, 2008: Final date for abstract submission. Extended to the 30th april 2008; however, the organizing committee would appreciate to be informed of your intention to participate with the proposed paper title (nibs2008@cea.fr)
